Allissa Myers brings her ambition and passion for helping her clients get the resolution they need. She puts in each case the same amount of effort, giving her clients the reassurance and confidence they need in their most challenging moments. Allissa has been a member of the Pennsylvania Bar and the American Bar Association since November 2019 and has worked with Family Law Cases for over five years in her career.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy in 2016 and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with Distinction at the Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. During her time at the University, Allissa was part of the Ballroom Dance Club and a Pi Sigma Alpha.
In May of 2019, Allissa received her Juris Doctor at the Temple University Beasley School of Law. Allissa made Dean's List in Spring of 2018 and served as the 2L Day Student Class President. Allissa's activities included the Women's Law Caucus, the Brehon Society, where she served as the Out-reach Chair and being Vice-President of the Temple Law Republicans. Allissa also participated in the Trial Advocacy Program and took pride in being a 1L Representative for the Family Law Society and the Federalist Society.
Allissa's legal career kicked off when she interned with the Honorable Jeffery D. Wright in the Court of Common Pleas of Lancaster, where she assisted with the creation of the Lancaster's Veterans Court by researching veteran’s affairs in the city and briefing the Judge on how other jurisdictions organized their Veterans Courts. Allissa also assisted the project by creating a multimedia presentation describing the nature and mission of the specialty court to community partners.
In college, Allissa continued her pursuit of a career in law as Government Law and Regulatory Affairs and Public Strategies Intern at the Cozen O'Connor's Philadelphia office. Her many duties included assisting with research and data collection for prospective clients, cataloging important updates for political elections, tracking any relevant changes to law and regulations, and preparing memorandums for the Public Strategies Group head researcher.
Throughout Law School, Allissa worked at the Temple University Legal Aid Office in Philadelphia. As a Certified Legal Intern, Allissa began directly serving clients in their family law matters. She assisted in conducting client intake interviews and drafted petitions in custody, support, standby guardianship, and adoptions. She prepared cases for Family Court conferences and hearings under supervision of a licensed attorney.
In the Summer of 2018, Allissa became a Legal Intern at Women Against Abuse, a non-profit organization dedicated to aiding the victims of domestic violence. She conducted various legal research, prepared intraoffice memorandums, and drafted motions . Allissa communicated with clients, served as a courtroom advocate for victim witnesses, and observed court proceedings in Family Court and the Domestic Violence Unit of the Criminal Justice Court.
From June 2018 until December 2019, Allissa worked at the Rocco Law in Philadelphia under attorney James A. Rocco, Esquire. She was a Law Clerk who researched and drafted several appellate briefs adjudicated by the Pennsylvania Superior Court. Her other duties included drafting petitions, motions, agreements and preparing documents related to property settlements.
Allissa worked as an Associate Attorney for the Law Offices of Jennifer J. Riley in Blue Bell, PA, from January 2020 until August 2021. As an Associate Attorney, Allissa represented clients in Family Law and Civil Matters. She counseled clients regarding their legal options, and prepared legal documents. Allissa helped clients through equitable distribution by negotiating and drafting property settlement agreements. Allissa fiercely advocated for clients during court appearances.
A central Pennsylvania native, Allissa is thrilled to return to the Harrisburg area. Allissa and her husband are happy pet-parents of two Pitbull mixes and one grumpy black cat. Allissa loves cooking for friends and dedicating a day every now and then to re-watching the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy.
